How We Got Here

Steve explains the fortuitous series of events that led us to create Entrepreneur Contracts and why we're so passionate about it.

Steven A. Paysinger, Esq.

Hey everyone! I’m Steve Paysinger, a personal injury attorney, entrepreneur and aspiring fly fishing guide based in Colorado.

I graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver with a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology in 2011. I then went on to become a Dean's List Student at Michigan State University College of Law (Go Green!), graduating in 2016. I was also named a Top 40 Under 40 Attorney in Colorado in 2019.

I started working in law in 2005 as a legal assistant at the bottom of the totem pole making copies and scans. At the time, it seemed like just another job. But over the years, I started to recognize how much we were truly helping people. Clients would come into our office injured from a car accident, waking up in the middle of the night worrying about how they were going to pay their medical bills, and confused about what to do next.

But after walking them through the process, ensuring they got the best medical care and a fair settlement, our clients would leave the office grinning from ear-to-ear! It inspired me to go to law school and join my dad in his law practice.

After several years of practicing personal injury, I realized I wanted to broaden my horizons and delve into other areas of law and business so I wouldn’t be quite so one dimensional.  So I took some guiding courses for fly fishing and started discussing ideas with my sister, Marissa!

When she told me how many of her freelancing and entrepreneur friends needed help with the legal side of their business, I knew we were on to something. Soon after, Entrepreneur Contracts was born!

Beyond business, I love to mix things up. Spending time outside is at the top of my list, whether it's camping, fishing, hiking, snowboarding, or any number of other similar activities. Beyond that, I'm passionate about music (particularly the Grateful Dead), language (proficient in Spanish & Portuguese) and Photography.

Meet Marissa

I first started my copywriting company (Paysinger Marketing) right after I graduated with my second Master’s degree.

I was so excited to start writing for amazing companies that I believed in. But when I started to connect with amazing clients, I was always unsure about the contract and proposal I created. I tried to base them off of contracts I found online, but I knew I needed help.  Luckily, I have a big brother in law who could help me go over everything and make sure it was all legal.

I ran into the same issue when I first started my business (Blog from the Beginning). I wasn’t sure about the privacy policies or other legal pages, especially since it seemed like all the information about it was in “legalese”! It wouuld take me hours to go through it and I wanted a fast and easy solution.

When I started speaking with my other copywriter and blogger friends, I realized just how many entrepreneurs were in the same boat.

We needed someone to help walk us through the process of making a business legal, or at the very least a lawyer who could provide us with templates without having to spend thousands of dollars!

After all, we’ve already invested so much in our businesses, right? And there’s always so much to do.

So I finally convinced Steve to start this company with me!

With Our Powers Combined, We Created Entrepreneur Contracts!

Entrepreneur Contracts is all about providing you reliable, accurate, and affordable legal templates to help you protect your business.

We designed our templates to be easy to use so you can have them up on your website in a matter of minutes.

We know how much work you have to put in to make your business successful. And we wanted to make the legal side easy for you!

Our goal is to make overwhelming, scary things like bigtime Privacy laws or making a contract for your business as quick, simple, and painless as possible.

If you have a business in 2021, you almost certainly need a website with it. And if your business has a website, it 100% needs a Privacy Policy. It really should have a set of Terms as well as a Disclaimer too. We make doing that easy. You get the benefit of lawyer-reviewed documents, flexible to meet your needs, with out the bigtime legal fees of having a lawyer draft these documents for you or the risk that comes with piecing together a template to hopefully cover yourself.
